Maintenance on your HVAC system is something that is often overlooked or forgotten. How important is maintenance? HVAC system performance is dependent on proper airflow. As the system is used, dust can collect on components in the system, which decreases the capacity and efficiency of the system. Air filters reduce the dust that causes these issues, but they do not completely prevent the issues. Periodically inspecting and cleaning the system will restore the system to optimal operation. There are also electrical components in the system. Some of these components can weaken with use, and potentially cause additional stress on the system. Testing these components, and replacing them as needed, will reduce the possibility of a system breakdown. Manufacturers recommend maintenance on the system once a year.
